KUALA LUMPUR: While dyeing one’s hair blonde (or any other shade) is no longer a strange thing for Asians to do these days, actor Farid Kamil is still unsure if the colour suits him.
After bleaching his hair recently, Farid had to stay indoors for a week, as he was not ready to prance around sporting his new hairdo and get criticised for it.
“Although my wife (Diana Danielle) said that I looked fine, I still felt awkward going around with the look,” said the 36-year-old actor.
Farid coloured his hair to play a character who is of mixed parentage for the upcoming drama series Lafazkan Kalimah Cintamu. Others in the cast include Nelydia Senrose, Uqasha Senrose, Azhar Sulaiman and Elly Suriati.
Farid is not the first local male artiste to have bleached his hair a light shade. Others who have confidently rocked the look include singer Akim Ahmad and actor Zain Saidin.
