(Showbiz) Some celebs are depressed but have no outlet, says actress Elfira Loy

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress and host Nur Elfira Loy believed depression among celebrities is the result of suppressing their feelings and the fear of being judged.

“I am thankful to have a family whom I can share my troubles and work issues with," she said in a recent news report.

"But some artistes who are afraid of being judged choose to keep their worries or faults to themselves.

"Instead of letting it all out, they bury their feelings up to a point where it can't be suppressed anymore, resulting in them acting out their frustrations."

The 23-year-old commenting on recent news of artistes, believed to be suffering from mood disorder, like actors Datuk Farid Kamil and Iqram Dinzly.

Recently, Farid was remanded after allegedly slapping a policeman and kicking a civilian while Iqram left fans worried after uploading bizarre and disturbing posts on his social media.

Elfira said even she wasn't spared from feeling upset and depressed.

"Whenever I feel down, I turn to God,” she said.
