KUALA LUMPUR: Betty Rahmad, the youngest sister of actress-director Erma Fatima and actress Datin Paduka Umie Aida is now happily married to Ardy Damis.
Betty, 35, who also acts occasionally, tied the knot with entrepreneur Ardy, 30, on Feb 6, five months after their engagement.
To mark the occasion, Umie recently uploaded an Instagram video which highlighted their eldest sibling Erma's request list for Ardy on their engagement day last October.
Umie, in her caption to the video wrote: "We were all moved with Erma's gesture, and Ardy's response. Her noble and wise move was specially to show him what a responsible husband should be like as the head of his family."
Erma gave Ardy a copy of the Quran and requested that he recite it. Ardy successfully fulfilled his duty within two months.
Meanwhile, Betty also uploaded an Instagram video where she expressed delight in Ardy's "success" in reciting the Holy Book through sheer hard work.
She also expressed hope that he would become an exemplary life partner.
Betty said: "Thank you dearest Ardy Damis. I just love the new version of you after you've completed reciting the Al-Quran. I'm confident you will be an ideal life partner.
"Thank you, too, to my dearest eldest sister Erma Fatima for teaching me to find love regardless of social status. Love transcends all boundaries and toegther Ardy and I will grow stronger and better as life partners."
Erma's request for Ardy was widely praised by Netizens.
