KUALA LUMPUR: Two members of K-Pop group BigBang, G-Dragon and Taeyang both 29, will begin their military services soon.
G-Dragon, whose real name is Kwon Ji-Yong, will enlist on Feb 27 while newly-married Taeyang’s date is March 12.
The dates for their enlistment were made known by the group’s agency YG Entertainment recently.
“G-Dragon plans to quietly enlist without an official farewell event in order to prevent any chaos from occurring on scene that day,” said a statement from the agency.
G-Dragon and Taeyang are the second and third members of BigBang to enlist in the mandatory service, after T.O.P (Choi Seung-hyun). But following his drug controversy, he currently works as a public service worker.
