KUALA LUMPUR: Having a much younger wife by 35 years old has certainly made him feel younger.
So says popular crooner Datuk Jamal Abdillah on being married to Datin Zai Izzati Khiruddin, 24.
“Although I’ll be turning 60 next year, after marrying Zai, I feel much younger and more energetic than ever,” said the legendary singer after serenading guests at Luncheon With The Stars together with singer Dayang Nurfaizah at Tenera Hotel in Bangi, recently.
Jamal also said they were trying for a child.
“I still want to have children even when I’m 80 years old. I love kids,” he said in a recent news report.
Jamal who took Zai’s hand in marriage on April 1 last year, also revealed that she had a miscarriage three months ago.
“Zai was four months pregnant at the time. Although it was not our rezeki, we are not giving up. God works in mysterious ways,” said the artiste who has two sons from his previous marriages -- Osama Yamani, 17, and Ahmad Zaki Yamani, 11.
