#Showbiz: Deepika Padukone to appear at 'special place' in Madame Tussauds

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone will be getting her own wax figure on display at London’s Madame Tussauds next year.

The interesting thing is that her wax statue will be placed in an exclusive A-List area of the famous venue, which will make the 32-year-old star the first Indian celebrity from Bollywood to have that honour.

According to Times of India, prior Bollywood personalities have had their wax figures situated at a separate A-List enclosure dedicated to the world of Bollywood.

This means that her likeness will be on display next to giants in the realm of international showbusiness such as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

Deepika broke the news in posts on her Twitter and Instagram accounts yesterday, which included photos of the museum’s process of gathering her physical details.

The official Twitter account for Madame Tussauds had also issued a tweet to announce the arrival of Deepika at the venue late last night.

Deepika is considered one of the most popular and highest-paid Indian celebrities to date. Last year, she took on her first Hollywood project by starring in the Vin Diesel action film xXx: Return Of Xander Cage.
