#Showbiz: Raisa to put singing career on the back burner

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular Indonesian singer-songwriter Raisa Andriana is taking leave from music to focus on her pregnancy.

The 28-year-old artiste wants to give priority to her pregnancy. She wants to get sufficient rest to ensure her baby’s healthy development.

“I’m not quitting, just taking a break to prioritise on family and this pregnancy.

“I’m not sure how long this break will be or when I’ll get back to singing actively after my delivery.”

“Previously, I’ve always put my singing career as my priority, but now, my family comes first,” she said in a recent news report by wowkeren.com.

In August, Raisa shared her pregnancy news with her fans via a video which she uploaded on her YouTube channel.

But before she goes on her sabbatical leave, the Serba Salah singer is set to perform at her solo concert on Nov 21.

Called Fermata Intimate Concert, it will be held at Jakarta’s The Hall Senayan City.

Raisa tied the knot with Australia-born Indonesian actor Hamish Daud on Sept 3 last year.
