#Showbiz: Girls' Generation's Tiffany geeks out over duet with Babyface

KUALA LUMPUR: Girls’ Generation member Tiffany Young will be working with multiple Grammy-winner Babyface for her upcoming English language debut solo EP.

According to Allkpop, the Korean-American artiste will perform a duet with the respected singer-songwriter and producer, whose real name is Kenneth Brian Edmonds, on a track titled Runaway.

Apparently a preview of the new tune was aired recently on MTV’s TRL.

In another news report, Young geeked out when she talked about the collaboration.

“I get to call him Kenny! When I was in the booth and he was directing I was going, ‘Is this real?’ What a dream come true!” she said.

The new yet-to-be-titled EP is expected to be released next year.

Young, 29, has already put out two English singles this year — the female empowerment track, Over My Skin, and a revenge tune, Teach You.

The latter, which dropped three weeks ago, has since garnered over five million views on YouTube for its music video, which also features cameos of Girls’ Generation members, Hyoyeon and Sooyoung.

The California-born artiste was recruited by SM Entertainment and made her debut with Girls’ Generation in 2007.

The ultra popular K-Pop group has since come up with 16 No. 1 singles, over 1.8 billion YouTube views and millions of album sales across 15 releases.

Last year, Tiffany parted ways with SM Entertainment and has signed on to a new record label in the US to concentrate on her music and acting career there.

In previous interviews, she has hinted at a possible reunion and that she is still close with her bandmates.
