KUALA LUMPUR: More than three decades after she carved a name in music, there’s no doubt that Ella Aminuddin is still Malaysia’s Queen of Rock.
For her accomplishments in the local music scene and her success in building her brand as the iconic female rock idol in the region, the 52-year-old artiste was honoured with the The BrandLaureate Icon Celebrity Awards 2018, last night.
She received the award from Asia Pacifics Brands Foundation (APBF) chairman Tan Sri Rainer Althoff at The BrandLaureate Brand Icon Leadership Awards 2018 gala dinner.
“I am extremely grateful to receive this recognition. But without the support from my team and fans, I don’t think I would be able to strengthen my brand to this day,” she said in a news report today.
Ella, whose full name is Nor Zila Aminuddin, dedicated the award to all who had contributed to building her brand for the past 32 years.
Besides Ella, two other artistes who also received The BrandLaureate awards were Datuk Ramli Sarip and Anuar Zain.
