#Showbiz: iKon's 'I'm OK' tops iTunes charts globally

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular K-Pop group iKon has certainly made an impression with its latest release.

The seven-member music outfit recently dropped an album, New Kids Repackage: The New Kids, online.

Its brand new title track from the album, I’m OK, has since hit the No. 1 spot on multiple iTunes Top Songs charts all over the world.

According to Soompi yesterday, I’m OK had already topped the iTunes charts in a dozen different countries, which include Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam the Philippines and Saudi Arabia.

The music group’s new record had also topped iTunes Top Albums charts in at least seven different countries.

Both the album and title track made a strong impact in Japan as well, peaking at No. 1 on the Top K-Pop Albums chart, the Top K-Pop Songs chart and the Top Pop Songs chart.

In addition to that, the music video for I’m OK has managed to hit the No. 1 spot on popular Chinese music site QQ’s K-Pop Music Videos chart.

iKon, which made its debut in 2015, consists of Jinhwan, Yunhyeong, Bobby, B.I, Donghyuk, Ju-ne and Chanwoo.

The group performed for over 7,000 fans in Malaysia at Malawati Stadium in Shah Alam on Oct 13 last year as part of its successful Continue Tour.
