KUALA LUMPUR: Popular actress and singer Erra Fazira is clueless of where her relationship with 31-year-old singer Shahir Zawawi is headed, despite him sharing his intentions of proposing to her in recent years.
In fact, the 45-year-old Hantu Kak Limah star said that it had been some time since they had last met, having only been keeping in touch via telephone every now and then.
“It’s not like we had a fallout or anything, we just haven’t seen each other for a while now.
“When he previously voiced out his intentions of taking our relationship a step further, of course it triggered some reaction from my family members and friends.
“But until now, I am not too sure where our relationship is heading so I feel it’s best that I lie low and let things happen naturally. I don’t want to get my hopes up, or think too much about it.
“As cliché as it sounds, I will accept whatever God has planned for me,” she said when met at a press conference for Astro’s Miss Lawak at TREC KL, here yesterday.
Erra sits on the judging panel alongside Datuk AC Mizal for the reality competition which seeks to find the next comedienne.
Among the 18 participants vying for the winning title are P. Ramlee’s granddaughter Najua Nasir and veteran stand-up act Joanne Kam.
The reality competition will air beginning March 6, every Wednesday at 9pm on Astro Warna (132) and Warna HD (124).
