#Showbiz: Taeyeon dominates Korean charts with 'Four Seasons', Yoona's OK being called 'beautiful'

KUALA LUMPUR: Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation has another hit on her hands with her latest solo single, Four Seasons, which dropped yesterday.

According to Soompi, the track about the ups and downs of love like its namesake had quickly rose to the top of seven major real-time charts after several hours of its release.

Four Seasons peaked at No. 1 on South Korea’s Melon, Genie, Bugs, Mnet, Naver, Soribada and Flo real-time charts.

Taeyeon’s latest single also includes the release of a B-side number, titled Blue.

Last Friday, the singer released the music video to Four Seasons ahead of the single as well.

Soompi also reported that fellow Girls’ Generation member Yoona had recently shared her thoughts on having worked in show business for quite a long while during an episode of SBS’ Mom's Diary: My Ugly Duckling.

The singer and actress, apparently the youngest special MC to appear on the entertainment show, was asked by host Shin Dong Yup if she honestly still found being called beautiful exciting after all these years.

Yoona replied: “No. Hearing good things gets better the more often you hear them.”

When co-host Seo Jang Hoon then asked, “Do you still enjoy hearing it?”, the SM Entertainment artiste laughed before she said, “Yes. Please say it often.”

Yoona added that nothing big had changed after being in the industry for a long time.

She said: “I’m close with people in my agency. We’ve spent time together since we were trainees, and we worked together after debuting, so we end up taking care of each other more.”

Although Yoona confessed that she was close to fellow K-Pop artistes Super Junior, TVXQ and BoA, she added: “Since Girls’ Generation had many members, I don’t think I ever thought to myself, ‘I need to befriend lots of other colleagues.’ Since we were doing and feeling the same things, I thought, ‘My members are everything to me'.”

On whether she was a difficult child to her parents, Yoona said: “Maybe at the beginning of my debut. Back then, I didn’t talk much when I went home. Since I met a lot of people and talked a lot while working outside, I wanted to rest when I went home. Even though I knew (that my parents must want me to talk more), I couldn’t help it.”

She also let on that her folks had been nagging her to go to bed earlier.

“Even though I feel tired and want to go to bed early, I can’t fall asleep. Because my daily routine changes so much while working,” she said.
