KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Nabila Huda Suhaimi and her rock legend father Suhaimi Abdul Rahman have finally had their Raya get-together.
And they have their mutual friend, award-winning director Erma Fatima to thank for making it happen yesterday.
Nabila Huda and her husband Mohd Izwan Johar joined Erma and her family when they visited Suhaimi, or Amy of Search at his house in Denai Alam, Shah Alam.
In an Instagram video post yesterday, Erma showed Amy, Nabila Huda, Mohd Izwan and herself sharing a moment of joyous laughter in his living room.
Nabila Huda presented Erma with a large, green packet of duit Raya and they both embraced, as Amy and Mohd Izwan applauded them.
In the caption to the video, Erma said: "I'm so moved. A gesture of love from one who is like a daughter to me. The money isn't important, it's the friendship that matters. May God bless Amy, Nabila Huda and family always."
Nabila Huda thanked Erma for finally "making her life complete". She said: "Love you mama! Thank you for making my wish come true. You're amazing, just one phone call and I'm at his doorstep. I'm so happy now!"
Netizens were delighted to see Nabila Huda and Amy celebrating Raya together, and praised Erma for her good deed.
"Love you guys so much. So good to have Amy and Nabila Huda together during Hari Raya. Good job, Erma!" said Ayu.

On Jan 22, Nabila Huda, 34, uploaded an Instagram video showing her singing the hit single Tiada Lagi with Amy, 60, and captioned it with the song's lyrics “Biarku simpan semua kenanganku bersamamu” (“Let me keep all my memories with you”).
Nabila also revealed that it has been more than three years since she last met Amy.
In August 2018, Nabila said that she missed her father but was hopeful that their relationship would become better someday.
She also blamed her stepmother Norish Hassan for the strained father-and-daughter relationship.
In June 2018, Nabila slammed Norish on social media, and said that she had caused “nothing but trouble for her family” since Day One.
Nabila, the star of Munafik, is the only child from Amy’s first marriage to Faridah Fadzil.
