#Showbiz: Jamal Abdillah's younger brother dies

KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Datuk Jamal Abdillah has described his late younger brother Ahmad Tihami Mohd Ali as one of his staunchest fans from day one.

Ahmad Tihami or Hamka, 48, died of a heart ailment at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Jalan Tun Razak here at 7.20pm yesterday.

“Our family is in grief over Hamka’s sudden death. God loves him more,” said Jamal in a news report today.

“Hamka didn’t follow my footsteps into showbiz, but he was always there for me, supporting me in the crowd of audiences all the time.”

Jamal, 60, said that Hamka was diagnosed with a heart ailment last April, and was supposed to undergo surgery at IJN this month.

“I want to thank all my fans for their condolences and prayers. May Hamka be placed amongst the righteous. We will all miss him.”
