KUALA LUMPUR: It was intended to be a playful act when actress Datin Elvina Mohamad bound her young son's hands and legs with medical tape and shared the photo of him on her Instagram for her fans and followers.
But some Netizens were outraged and even threatened to report the 24-year-old artiste to the police.
In a news report today, Elvina said: "We were visiting my father-in-law at the hospital and all my family members were around when I took the picture."
"Even my son (eight-month-old Karl Mateen) played along by pretending to have a sad face. I'm not that dumb to actually hurt my son," said Elvina, who was shocked to see some of the negative comments she received from Netizens.
The actress added that she had written a disclaimer in the caption accompanying the photo to explain that it was just a joke and that Netizens should not take it seriously.
Elvina had earlier been bashed online after she was seen feeding Karl with solid food when he was just four months old.
She claimed then that she had already been given the greenlight to do so by her doctors.
