#Showbiz: BTS pauses Riyadh rehearsal during azan

KUALA LUMPUR: International K-Pop group BTS will be performing at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia tonight.

According to Koreaboo, the popular seven-member music outfit was at the venue yesterday for rehearsals to prepare for the upcoming concert.

Fans, or Army as they’re known, who gathered outside the over 67,000-seater stadium to listen to the group’s rehearsal noticed that the stadium fell silent at some point.

This was during the time when the azan or call to prayer for Muslims was being delivered by the muezzin (bilal).

The K-Pop outfit’s show of respect had endeared the group even further towards its fans with many expressing love and praise for the little gesture.

One fan wrote: "Muslim Armys collectively feeling so loved right now because of BTS stopping their performance during azaan, warms my heart. Such little acts of tolerance and kindness means so much to us."

BTS is in Saudi Arabia as part of its successful Love Yourself: Speak Yourself stadium extension world tour.

The group will then complete the tour with three stadium concerts in Seoul from Oct 26 onwards.
