KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s No. 1 singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, who is the proud mother of Siti Aafiyah Khalid, is not happy with the way some people are using her baby girl’s name to further their business ventures.
The prominent songstress took to her official Instagram account today to voice her concern about the matter that involves her 18-month-old baby girl.
“There are too many accounts that use my daughter’s name, Siti Aafiyah. My fans have brought my attention to Instagram accounts that use her name in order to sell all sorts of products and such.”
She added: “The picture here is one of the many accounts that use Aafiyah in its name to sell a product that is not at all from me or any of my businesses. I implore everyone to not take advantage of her name, especially since there have been hundreds of accounts out there using the name Aafiyah.”
The screencap of the picture she mentioned also featured an image of Siti’s adorable first child as its profile picture.
The rest of her post, from her account that has over 6.7 million followers, read: “I want to really stress once more here that my Aafiyah does not have an Instagram account. I hope that you will not be fooled by pretenders and those selling products that are not related to my businesses, as well as others who utilise the accounts for dubious reasons. Please conduct your businesses in an honest fashion and don’t misuse the name Aafiyah.”
