KUALA LUMPUR: Producer and actress Datuk Ziela Jalil denies talk that she is tying the knot with fellow artiste, producer-actor Datuk Seri Eizlan Yusof.
“Yes, he is getting married, but I’m not his bride-to-be,” confirmed Ziela in a news report yesterday.
The 49-year-old admitted that while Eizlan and her were close, their relationship was nothing more than mere friends.
Speculations were rife when Ziela shared an Insta-story recorded at the birthday party of Tengku Hajah Datuk Aishah Sultan Ahmad Shah recently.
In the video, guests were also seen congratulating Eizlan on his upcoming nuptials, and Ziela happened to sit next to him.
It wasn’t long before news that the two were getting married went viral.
However, Ziela, neither surprised nor jumpy over the speculations, added that being in Eizlan’s circle of friends, she also knew his future bride.
“As his friend, I’m happy to hear that he is tying the knot,” she said.
Meanwhile, Eizlan is scheduled to hold a press conference on Dec 2.
The 48-year-old artiste was previously married to entrepreneur Vie Shantie Khan in 2007, but they divorced in 2015. They have three children together — Vie Zara, 11; Zareef Yusof, 9, and Vie Zaara, 6.
