KUALA LUMPUR: Previously engaged, rocker Awie and Erra Fazira will finally divulge the real reason their relationship came to an end in the mid-90s.
They will have a tell-all at Awie or Datuk Ahmad Azhar Othman’s upcoming Konsert Awie Romantika at Malawati Indoor Stadium on Feb 15.
“Many fans still cannot forget our love story even though it’s been buried in the past,” said the frontman of Wings in a news report yesterday.
Awie, 51, said that at the time when their relationship ended, the blaming game quickly ensued.
“Many blamed me as the cause of the split, while the rest pointed their fingers at Erra.
“So the concert would be the most suitable platform to ‘settle’ this long-standing issue once and for all. Both of us will reveal the reason behind our break up,” he said.
Awie also expressed his gratitude to his wife Sharifah Ladyana Syed Samsuddin who gave the go-ahead to have Erra at the concert without putting any terms and conditions.
“All she wants is a photo opportunity with Erra,” said Awie with a grin.
