PETALING JAYA: Celebrity couple Zahirah Macwilson and Aiman Hakim Redza said they would tie the knot this month, but have kept mum on the date.
Netizens seem to think that this will happen on Thursday. The reason, over the last few days Aiman has been uploading photos of both of them on his Instagram account with the cryptic message "save the date 20-02-20".
Word has it that their solemnisation ceremony will take place at an undisclosed location on Thursday, while their first wedding reception will be held in Glamhall, Mercu Mustapha Kamal, Damansara Perdana at 7.45pm on Friday.
"Just wait and see guys, let our big day be a surprise. But don't worry, we'll let you know about it real soon," said Zahirah at the launch of her latest film Bulan Dan Pria Terhebat in The Starling Mall, Damansara Utama here yesterday.
Zahirah, 24, also said that she and Aiman, 30, will not have a press conference to announce their wedding date, and it will not receive any corporate sponsors.
It was reported in July last year that the two would tie the knot in February.
They were engaged in Perth, Australia on June 8 last year but had yet to decide on the exact date.
“It depends on the availability of the venue, only then can we fix the date,” said Aiman.
“We decided to only have one reception seeing that most of my family members are in Perth,” said Zahirah.
In Bulan Dan Pria Terhebat which will open on March 12, Zahirah plays an Indonesian special forces officer who fights a regional human trafficking syndicate that has abducted her younger sister.
The officer, Bulan, teams up with an e-hailing driver, Haris, to take on the crime lords Ricky and Agus, who have hired a ruthless assassin, Tony, to eliminate Bulan.
Jointly-produced by Astro Shaw, Skop Productions, and Nizra Entertainment, Bulan Dan Pria Terhebat marks Zahirah's debut on the silver screen.
Directed by Ghaz Abu Bakar of Polis Evo fame, it also stars Zizan Razak, Khir Rahman, Sein of Ruffedge and Maya Karin.
