KUALA LUMPUR: Former wife of TV host and celebrity chef Fikree Aznan, Sharifah Zuriehan Ben Yahya denies accusations that she prohibits him from seeing their son Jayden Malik, 3.
In a recent posting on her Instagram, Syarifah Zuriehan said that there were some quarters who had accused her of such action.
Posting a photo of Jayden and her, the caption read: “I just want to clarify one thing to everyone. I would sacrifice anything for Jayden. I used to close my eyes in an unhappy marriage because of our son.
“Even after our divorce, if he wanted to see Jayden or speak on the telephone, I have never stopped him from doing so. In fact, I always update him on Jayden’s development, regardless whether he wants to know about it or not.”
She said she did it as was part of her responsibility as Jayden’s mother.
“I will do this until our son is able to think for himself and has his own moral compass. After that, it’s up to both parents to justify their actions as he would not be so gullible to anymore lies. So please stop slandering me about not allowing Jayden to meet his father.”
Fikree and Sharifah Zuriehan married in 2015 but divorced in May last year.
