KUALA LUMPUR: The wife of Indonesian actor Jonathan Frizzy, Dhena Devanka has gone through divorce proceedings after alleging that her husband had been having multiple affairs with several women since 2016.
According to Harian Metro, the influencer had filed for the divorce at the South Jakarta Religious Court in Indonesia yesterday.
On the issue of marital infidelity she said: "This has gone on for a few years now starting from 2016. But the matter has finally come to light and I only got to know about it in 2019."
"Actually, this issue of infidelity had not taken place just once but many times including with someone who was already married," she said.
The unfortunate incidents have negatively impacted the couple's relationship which has resulted in frequent arguments and alleged assaults at home.
Dhena added that she did not want to air their dirty laundry in public but had to do so after Jonathan's uncle, Benny Simanjuntak, had revealed screengrabs of closed-circuit TV (CCTV) footage of their domestic dispute which went viral recently.
The violent pictures of the security footage showed the mother of three kicking the actor in the stomach, as well as hitting him with gym equipment.
"There was a fight but it was caused by the cheating issue.
"I'm tired of having to keep our family issues under wraps as it should be. But now I want to share everything," she said.
The rumours of Jonathan's extra-marital affairs have long been circulating and he was even allegedly linked romantically to popular Indonesian actress, Ririn Dwi Ariyanti.
It was reported that Ririn and her husband, Aldi Bragi, are also currently in the process of getting a divorce.
Previously, Dhena had lodged a police report claiming that Jonathan had violently assaulted her in a domestic dispute on May 21.
However, the artiste had denied the accusations and further claimed that he was the victim in the matter.
He also lodged a police report against Dhena which highlighted a similar accusation.
