KUALA LUMPUR: In conjunction with the coming Hari Raya celebrations, songstress Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin has come out with a new Raya single.
Titled Lip Lap Raya, it is co-composed by Ajay Amai, Glow Rush, Karim Karam and Mike Chan.
The song which combines inang and changung, also includes dikir barat element.
Its lyrics touch on the joy of celebrating Hari Raya after two years of pandemic life.
Siti said that the song would attract listeners even after listening it for the first time.
Generally, a brand new song will take some time to be accepted, but Siti said that Lip Lap Raya would appeal to music fans.
"I'm thrilled to record the song. I hope it becomes an evergreen tune enjoyed by many in years to come," said Siti in a press statement today.
The official music video, directed by Aaron Lee, can be viewed on Siti Nurhaliza's YouTube channel beginning 9pm today.
Co-produced by Siti Nurhaliza Productions (M) Sdn.Bhd and Universal Music Malaysia, Lip Lap Raya is available on all digital platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Joox, KKBOX, Deezer, YouTube Music, JOOX, KK Box and Deezer.
The last time the 43-year-old artiste put out a Raya song was in 2016, titled Hari Kemenangan.
