#Showbiz: Siti's March concert tickets sold out in 2 hours

KUALA LUMPUR: Tickets for pop queen Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza's major concert, Konsert Sebuah Epitome Saya Siti Nurhaliza which will take place at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil on March 9 were snapped up in two hours.

In an Instagram post yesterday, Siti said that she was overjoyed and thankful for the strong support of fans.

"Thank you my dearest fans. I'm so sorry that not everyone could get hold of the tickets, but don't worry, there is always a next time," she said.

Netizens congratulated Siti for the swift ticket sales, and many of them expressed confidence that the concert would be as well-received as British rock band Coldplay's concert last Nov 22.

Coldplays' concert was attended by 75,000 people, the highest turnout for a concert at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium to date.

Siti's 2004 concert, the Siti Nurhaliza Fantasia Tour at the same stadium, attracted 70,000 guests.

Other notable performances at the stadium included Indian musician A.R. Rahman's Secret Of Success concert in January which attracted 67,000 people and K-Pop queens BlackPink's Born Pink Tour in March which attracted 62,000 people.

Hong Kong Cantopop king Jacky Cheung's Music Odyssey 2002 concert was attended by 50,000 fans and British rock band Muse's Will Of The People in July also attracted 50,000 fans.
