#Showbiz: BlackPink to release latest album 'Born Pink' next month

KUALA LUMPUR: International K-Pop group BlackPink will be releasing its highly-anticipated studio album, Born Pink, on Sept 16.

According to Soompi, the official announcement on the popular quartet's second full-length studio album was made earlier today via a teaser poster to the delight of fans dubbed Blinks.

BlackPink's pre-release lead single, Pink Venom, is expected to be out on Aug 19.

The K-Pop group's album release will be followed by its first world tour in three years beginning in October.

A series of worldwide dates was unveiled recently for the Born Pink world tour which is set to kick off with concerts in Seoul, South Korea on Oct 15 and 16.

BlackPink will then head off to the US and Canada before visiting Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Closer to home in the Southeast Asian region, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa will be performing for fans in Bangkok, Thailand on Jan 7 and 8 next year.

The K-Pop outfit will be thrilling Malaysian fans at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium here on March 4, before heading to Jakarta, Indonesia (March 11) and Manila (March 25) in the Philippines.

Singapore will be the last stop on May 13 before the group heads off to Australia and New Zealand in June.

A previous teaser for the world tour also announced that more dates would be added in the near future.
