#Showbiz: Kaka demands reasons from Warner

KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Kaka Azraff demands that Warner Music Malaysia gives her the concrete reason behind the sudden contract termination notice served recently.

In a news report yesterday, the 34-year-old singer whose real name is Nor Atiqa Noor Azraff, said failing which, she would not hesitate to take legal actions against the record label.

"Being among the longest with Warner, I believe that I should be given the official and clear reasons on why the management had suddenly decided to terminate my contract.

"I'm fine if they want to terminate it, but it felt weird when it is done suddenly, without stating the clear reasons nor giving me the chance for discussion even though there is a 30-day grace period," Kaka was quoted in the report.

According to her, she met with the management representative from Warner on Nov 30, where she was asked to sign the termination letter.

"But I didn't sign it as I need to discuss with my lawyer first," said Kaka who was disappointed that the notice didn't have details explaining the label's action.

She said: "They only said that what I had done was against the company's global policy."

Previously, Kaka had allegedly sent disparaging DMs to pro-Israeli Australian influencer and actor, Nathaniel Buzolic.

Her profile was later said to have been shared on a website named Jew Hate Database that also listed Kaka as anti-Semitic.
