#Showbiz: S. Korea's The Rose to perform here on Jan 31

KUALA LUMPUR: Alternative pop band from South Korea The Rose is slated to perform here at the end of this month.

According to an update on the platform X yesterday, the indie rock quartet is scheduled to stage a performance at the Mega Star Arena KL in Sungei Wang Plaza on Jan 31, which is a part of the band's Dawn To Dusk tour scheduled for Asia and Europe.

Kicking off in Jakarta, Indonesia on Jan 20, the tour will end with a concert at the Palacio Vistalegre arena in Madrid, Spain on April 5.

The band, comprising vocalist and guitarist Kim Woosung, keyboardist and vocalist Park Dojoon, drummer Lee Hajoon, and bassist Lee Jaehyeong, have previously played at numerous music festivals internationally.

This includes the acclaimed Lollapalooza in Chicago, the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, and BST Hyde Park in the UK. The band has also performed in other countries such as Sweden, Brazil, Chile, and Argentina.

The Rose recently introduced their own label Windfall last year in partnership with Far East Movement owned Transparent Arts after a fallout with their previous agency J & Star Company.

The band is known for its emotion-filled English and Korean hits such as Back To Me, RED, and Wonder.

Organised by Lo-Fi Entertainment, presale tickets for The Rose Dusk to Dawn Tour in Kuala Lumpur 2024 will go on sale on Jan 6 with ticket prices ranging between RM298 and RM898.
