#Showbiz: No sharing family problems on social media for Siti

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's top singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza has denied allegations that a recent post about marital relationship challenges uploaded on her Instagram Stories was related to her household.

Not expecting a sordid amount of negative speculation to follow, Siti said she had to delete the entry before it continued to fester on social media.

"It is true that every Friday I share messages that are not only about things relating to rezeki and being courteous but also on marriage.

"Sometimes the purpose of sharing is to provide knowledge. I didn't realise that people would associate the post about the household with me.

"When people start talking profusely and speculating, that's not good either.

"That's why I quickly deleted it. Sometimes people ask. My intention is just to share knowledge," she said in a recent news report.

Siti added that she is not someone who shares personal stories on social media.

"After uploading it, I realised and then deleted it. My husband also asked me what I had shared on social media since he suddenly received a lot of questions as well.

"I usually solve it with my husband, Datuk Seri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa. If I am angry or anything, I must WhatsApp my husband first.

"Before other people drag on with the story, it's better that I delete it," she said when met at the recent launching ceremony of Infaq Ramadan: Semarak Cinta Ramadan and Nurjiwa Foundation.

Earlier, Siti had created a storm of speculation amongst Netizens with the now-deleted post that touched on a husband's treatment of his wife, the wife's biggest test and six reasons why a husband should not scold his wife.
