#Showbiz: Bella hopes to 'split on good terms' with Aliff

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Bella Astillah, 29, hopes that her marriage to controversial Singaporean singer-actor Aliff Aziz will have a "good ending".

According to a Berita Harian report today, Bella who hails from Sabah said that her two children with Aliff did not know about his arrest for alleged khlawat last Saturday.

Bella, or Dayang Nabellah Awang Astillah, was met at the Federal Territories Syariah Court in Jalan Duta here today after the first mention of her divorce case.

She was accompani by her younger sister Didi Astillah and their mother Zarinah Astillah.

Aliff, 33, was not present at the court.

Bella had officially submitted a filing for divorce from Aliff at the court yesterday.

"Aliff and I will continue to fulfil our duties as parents to our children," she said.

"It is not the time to tell them about what has happened and both of us hope to continue working together for the best interest of our children."

Bella also said that her decision to file for divorce was "for her own good" so long as she and Aliff knew about their mutual responsibilities.

Aliff and actress Ruhainies Zainul Ilyas, 32, were caught by the Federal Territories Religious Department (Jawi) enforcement team in a condominium in the federal capital for alleged khalwat last Saturday.

Bella has also pulled out of filming for the OrangeTree Productions drama Terjerat made for the streaming platform iQIYI which also stars Ruhainies.
