KUALA LUMPUR: The plot thickens as actress and singer, Bella Astillah, accuses her fellow artiste husband, Aliff Aziz, of having cheated on her 11 times, including with her younger sister, Eriqa Astillah.
Bella, 30, whose full name is Dayang Ara Nabellah Awang Astillah, said she had enough evidence of every adulterous act her husband had committed.
"People only know that Aliff cheated four or five times, but it's 11 times. I have proof and Aliff knows this.
"After Aliff was caught for khalwat, I didn't say anything because I was shocked even though there were people out there who said it was me who planned it as a trap.
"You think I have the energy to do all that? Honestly, I don't like people asking whether I'm going back to Sabah or not. Because I have something to share, to be honest, I don't have any family in Sabah anymore.
"As many people know, I have three sisters. Aliff once cheated on me with my sister, Eriqa.
"I loved Aliff so much, to the point I threw away my own family.
"I have never talked about this matter, but I was forced to because even people I admire, like my in-laws, I did not expect to betray me," she said in a Berita Harian report today.
The mother of two added that Aliff and Eriqa had exchanged messages wishing for a smooth sailing relationship when she and Aliff performed their Umrah pilgrimage in 2022.
"There was a message supposedly praying for their relationship when we were on Umrah. Eriqa also once accompanied Aliff to Gegar Vaganza.
"God, I am pained to have to say this. My family and I have kept this secret as well as possible. Regarding my younger sister, it was a big mistake. Our family has not returned to our kampung.
"The worst thing, which is something I regret, is that I threw away my sister, I didn't throw away Aliff," she said.
Bella added that Aliff did not come home frequently and she had to deal with such things alone, including the recent khalwat case involving him and Ruhainies.
"I complained to my mother-in-law, and she asked me to have husnuzon (assume the best in people). She also said I needed to focus on myself and get closer to Allah. That's what I did.
"The Ustaz who taught me to recite the Quran in 2018 started teaching me to recite again because I couldn't focus. Every day I wanted to look for Aliff.
"I was reciting the Quran and then the Ustaz told me to perform the Istikharah prayer (done when a person is hesitant in making a choice or deciding what is best). During this holy month, I performed the Istikharah prayer.
"He said he wanted to divorce me on March 31, then after filming finished and after I prayed Istikharah, Allah showed me the khalwat case and because of that, I filed for divorce," she said.
