KUALA LUMPUR: Once again, actor Farid Kamil and actress Diana Danielle are celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri together as a family.
The couple who were divorced in August last year but eventually reconciled for the sake of their children describe this year's Hari Raya as the "perfect Raya" for them in years.
Farid, 43, and Diana, 33, uploaded some photos of themselves with their children Muhammad, 11, and Nur Aurora, 8 on their Instagram accounts yesterday.
Dressed in matching traditional outfits, they extended their Raya greetings to family, friends and fans.
Farid said in an interview with Berita Harian yesterday that they would be celebrating Hari Raya in the federal capital instead of Alor Star, Kedah, his hometown.
"Both of us a pretty busy this year, so it is best we celebrate Raya in KL. We will be together in a new movie called Baran later this year," he said, adding that filming for the first half of the film was completed yesterday.
Diana said: "As a result we did not have much time to prepare for a balik kampung journey. Anyway, we have spent Raya in KL a few times over the years and the last was during the Movement Contol Order."
Farid and Diana will have home-cooked food as well as takeaways to mark their Hari Raya feast tomorrow.
"We will get our goodies ready as soon as we complete Raya prayers," said Farid, adding that they both loved ketupat, lemang and rendang.
Farid said that the children were "okay" celebrating Hari Raya in Kuala Lumpur, as they grew up in the federal capital.
"My parents will be down in KL, likewise my siblings. It does not matter where we have Raya, what is important is spending it with my loved ones."
Diana said that the family would also visit relatives and close friends' open houses around the Klang Valley.
