KUALA LUMPUR: Fans of popular BlackPink member Lisa have been excited by recent rumours that the idol is allegedly in love with wealthy businessman Frederic Arnault.
According to Koreaboo, the rumours intensified among netizens on social media after a series of pictures of what seemed to be the idol, whose full name is Manoban, walking together with a tall man believed to be Arnault went viral online.
The two were seen frolicking around the famous Musée Rodin of Paris in France, which is an art museum dedicated mainly to the work of renowned French sculptor, Auguste Rodin.
In the post featuring the pictures, the netizen wrote: "I was basking in the sun this afternoon at the Musée Rodin garden when I saw a girl taking photos of her ice cream."
"When I was taking an extra look at the yellowish ice cream, the girl happened to turn around, and we made eye contact.
"I thought, 'This beautiful girl looks a lot like Lisa.' I took a look at the guy beside her and thought he looked familiar, too.
"Then I came to realise it was her," the person wrote.
The individual claimed that Lisa and Arnoult seem to casually be spending time together like a regular couple without hiding their identity.
"Celebrities are so chill in Europe. They don't even wear sunglasses, but no one bothers them.
"The two of them were just like a normal couple, basking in the sun, eating ice cream, and taking a stroll in the garden."
Arnault is the son of Bernard Arnault, the founder, chairman, and CEO of LVMH, the world's largest luxury goods company.
His father is currently the richest person in the world, with an estimated net worth of US$233 billion as of April 2024, according to Forbes.
Fans replied to the post with positive messages and wished them well.
Rumours of Lisa's alleged relationship with Arnault have been circulating for over a year, further fueled by various fans who claimed to have seen the pair together.
Arnault has also been spotted at a BlackPink concert, and it is believed that the pair are at least friends.
So far, BlackPink's agency YG Entertainment, and Lisa's management company LLOUD have yet to issue any statement regarding the latest rumour.
