Selangor Maritime Getaway (SMG) is challenging Malaysians to put their artistic skills to the test in the ‘SMG Water You Doing?’ comic strip contest.
All you need to do is to draw comic strips reflecting on the state of our rivers and show how we can be more responsible river guardians for a better tomorrow.
Organised by Landasan Lumayan Sdn Bhd (LLSB), the company appointed by the Selangor State Government as the master developer to implement key activities for the rejuvenation of Klang River, the contest asks participants to convey their thoughts by tackling one of three subjects - Stop River Pollution, Be A River Guardian or Clean River, Our Future.
The contest hopes to remind people of the importance of keeping our rivers healthy while we stay safe.
Participants are required to post their comic strip submission on their Instagram account with the hashtag #SMGWaterYouDoing before Apr 22.
Entries can be hand-drawn or digitally created in colour or black and white within one to five frames.
LLSB is rewarding popular comic strips with cash prizes of RM2,000 for first place, RM1,000 for second place and RM500 for third place, as well as 10 consolation prizes of RM100 each.
