KUALA LUMPUR: The Umno Supreme Council meeting was held in a positive and good environment yesterday.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said the meeting also saw a spirit of friendship and many issues were discussed.
Najib, who is also Umno president, wrote on his Facebook page today, said his deputy, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has shown a great commitment for the party and its struggles.
"He (Muhyiddin) has stated his support for the party and is willing to ensure Umno's success in the next general election, and his commitment was also shared by vice president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal," he said.
The supreme council meeting was the first official meeting held after the Cabinet reshuffle which took place on July 28.
