KANGAR: Perlis government today announced a RM500 windfall for government servants from Grades 1 to 54 for Hari Raya festive, in line with the federal government's move recently.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azlan Man the proposal was approved during the state executive council meeting today and the pay-out would be made soon.
Azlan said the cash aide would also be extended to contractual basis," he told reporters here today.
"We are making an arrangement to release the money before the Hari Raya festive," he said.
On July 2, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak announced that the federal government would give RM500 special cash aide to government servants from grade 1 till Grade 54 by July 15.
The special aid will also be extended to government pensioners who would receive RM250 each.
