DUNGUN: A 30-year-old mechanic was killed on the spot after his Naza CBR 250cc superbike rammed into a lamp post at KM 64.7 Jalan Kuala Terengganu-Kuantan, near Kuala Abang, here, this morning.
According to a source, Mohammad Fahmy Ifdzal Mohd Zaki, suffered serious head and chest injuries during the 8.45 am incident.
He said the victim was heading towards his house in Kampung Pak Pa, Kuala Terengganu from his work place in Dungun.
The source said the victim's friend who saw the incident, informed the nearby police station about the incident and the victim was sent to the Dungun Hospital for post mortem.
Dungun police chief Superintendent Ahmad Zailani Yaacub who confirmed the incident, saying the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road and Transport Act 1987.
