KUALA TERENGGANU: Abdul Rahman Mohammad, the 86-year-old father of Terengganu Menteri Besar, passed away due to a lung ailment here today.
Press secretary to the Menteri Besar, Ahmad Fauzan Abdul Kadir said Abdul Rahman breathed his last at the Menteri Besar’s official residence, Seri Iman at 6.15pm.
He leaves behind nine children including the Menteri Besar, Datuk Ahmad Razif.
Ahmad Fauzan said Abd Rahman had been hospitalised for several days at the Kuala Terengganu Specialist Hospital before he was brought back to the Seri Iman at 3pm.
Ahmad Fauzan said a special prayer will be held at the Seri Iman before Abdul Rahman is laid to rest at the Seberang Takir Muslim Cemetary at 10am tomorrow.
