KUALA LUMPUR: A lorry driver was killed after the vehicle he was travelling in crashed into the divider at KM14.9 of the Kuala Lumpur – Karak Expressway, today.
In the 7pm incident, he was driving the lorry loaded with construction materials and believed to have lost control of the machine, causing it to run into the divider and overturned.
It was learnt that the driver was caught in between the wrecked metals and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
At press time, the rescue team comprising of police, firemen, and personnel from Civil Defence Department were still at the scene.
