KUALA TERENGGANU: Flood situation in Terengganu showed an improvement this evening as more relief centres were closed as victims returned home.
As at 8.30pm, only 3,865 people from 951 were at 19 relief centres in Kuala Terengganu, Marang and Setiu while Kuala Terengganu top the list with 3,015 people from 740 families still at 12 relief centres.
In Marang, 746 people from 186 families were seeking shelters at four relief centres while 104 people of 25 families were at three relief centres.
It was learnt that Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman will be visiting the victims at Sekolah Menengah Kompleks Gong Badak around 9pm tonight and will be briefed on the flood situation.
