KRR Wishing Tree in its 10th year

KUALA LUMPUR: In light of the year-end celebrations, Kenny Rogers Roasters (KRR) is encouraging the spirit of giving and receiving through its 10th annual Wishing Tree campaign.

Through this initiative, more than 2,800 children from more than 52 shelter homes across Malaysia will have their “Wishing Cards” displayed in more than 90 KRR restaurants nationwide.

“For almost a decade now, KRR has brought cheer and happiness to underprivileged children in Malaysia, especially during the festive seasons.

“Since its inception, we have granted more than 11,000 wishes.

“This year is no exception, as we believe that Malaysians are naturally generous and real generosity is about doing something nice for others,” said Berjaya Roasters (M) Bhd marketing manager Christina Thong.

She said each KRR restaurant would be accountable to the home which they had chosen in this meaningful initiative.

They will be responsible for driving public participation, ensuring that every child’s wish comes true as well as the delivery of the gifts to the children.

The homes which will benefit from this campaign include Pertubuhan Pendidikan Anak-Anak Yatim Selangor (Kuala Lumpur), Rumah Budak Laki-Laki Tun Abdul Aziz (Malacca), Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Johor (Johor Baru), St Joseph’s Home (Penang), Persatuan Kebajikan Al Rahman Kelantan (Kelantan) and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kasih Nurul Iman (Perak).

The public can be a part of this heartwarming campaign by visiting any participating KRR restaurants and select a Wishing Card.

There is no limit to the number of wishes that the public can grant individually.

Gifts may be wrapped and presented to the respective KRR restaurants, to be delivered to the respective homes.
