KOTA BARU: The flood situation slightly eased this morning with the number of victims showing a drop in Kelantan.
As at 8.30am, 18,079 people were reported to be at flood relief shelters in the state, down from 21,000 yesterday.
The state flood portal showed that Pasir Mas was still the worst hit with 11,930 people at the evacuation centres.
The other affected districts were Tumpat (4,712), Kuala Krai (417), Pasir Putih (619), Tanah Merah (286), Machang (75) and Kota Baru (40).
However, water levels of major rivers showed trend of rising again following continuous rain over the past 12 hours.
