ALOR STAR: An ex-policeman in his 30s was stabbed to death during a brawl at a gaming outlet before collapsing at an open parking area in Taman Anggerik here early today.
The victim, who had history of drug-related offense, died on the spot due to multiple stab wounds on his back in the 1.35am incident.
State Criminal Investigation Department chief Assistant Commissioner Nashir Ya said police had found a sharp object next to the victim's body believe to be the murder weapon.
"The victim was attacked by several men and we have received information that the suspects had fled in a car.
"We are not ruling out the possibility that the attack was related to drug trafficking but we are investigating from all possible angles," he said.
