PASIR GUDANG: The contractor of the Pasir Gudang Highway upgrading project must complete Phase 1 of the project by Sept 30.
Pasir Gudang member of Parliament Normala Abdul Samad said the contractor has been given an ample extention period in the past due to delays in the works to upgrade seven bridges along the highway.
She said it was now the responsibility of the constractor to complete work in Phase One according to schedule.
"By hook or by crook, they must complete Phase One of the project by Sept 30. I have been getting monthly reports on the progress of the project so I am sure they would be able to do it," said Normala in a press conference after the balloting of affordable houses in Bandar Seri Alam, today.

She said Phase One of the highway upgrading project, which involves an eight kilometres stretch from Taman Perling to Plentong, is currently 58 per cent complete.
