SUPER JUNIOR became the first Korean group to receive award at 2015 Teen Choice Award!

KUALA LUMPUR: Global K-Pop group SUPER JUNIOR became the first Korean artiste to receive an award at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards last Sunday.

The male pop group was announced as “Choice International Artist” of year 2015, via the annual award’s official website.

The award is given to the most influential artist in all countries throughout the world (except the US).

SUPER JUNIOR beat other popular groups including fellow label mate and girl group Girls’ Generation, K-Pop girl group 2NE1, British boyband One Direction and Australian rock band 5 Seconds Of Summer.

SUPER JUNIOR’s official fan club E.L.F also received an award, for “Choice Fandom”.

The Teen Choice Awards has been giving awards since 1999 to artistes and categories influential in music, film, television, and other forms of entertainment.

This year, the Teen Choice Awards had an estimated 25 million people worldwide voting through their social media accounts.

The 2015 Teen Choice Awards was held last Sunday at the Galen Centre, Los Angeles.

SUPER JUNIOR released its album Devil in July, topping music charts all throughout Korea and reaching 1st place on iTunes charts in 10 countries throughout Europe and Asia.
