KUALA KANGSAR: Three people including a 12-year-old child died when the Perodua Alza they were travelling in collided with a cement lorry.
In the 1.50pm incident today near SK Lempur at Manong here, two other children in the car however escaped with injuries.
A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said a distress call was received at 1.58pm.
"The three deceased were pinned to their seats while the injured victims were removed from the wreckage by passer-by before they were handed over to an ambulance," he said.
Rescue operations were called off at 3.10pm.
The victims’ identities were still unknown.
