Longer remand for family linked to Tapah murders

TAPAH: Police have secured another seven-day remand order against four suspects linked to a series of murders in Tapah.

The four, all family members, were initially arrested on Oct 26 for their alleged involvement in the gruesome killings of four people at a house-cum-workshop in Jalan Pahang, here.

The initial remand on the four had expired today. The suspects were released on bail and subsequently remanded again.

The latest remand is to facilitate police investigation into the murder of the third victim, a 56-year-old bus operator from Kampung Pahang New Village.

Magistrate Nurul Nadia Abd Razak gave the order in court today following an application by the police.

The remand will expire on Nov 25.
