KANGAR: Two teenagers were killed when their motorcycles collided head-on with a van at KM13.8 Jalan Padang Melangit last night.
Mohd Bulyamin Bahrudin, 18, and Mohamad Ihsan Narzeri, 17, died on the spot in the 9pm incident.
However the cause of death has yet to be determined pending post-mortem report.
According to Padang Besar district traffic police chief Assistant Superintendent Shamsuddin Ali, the van was heading to Kaki Bukit when the two motorcycles from opposite direction suddenly entered its lane.
He said the van driver failed to evade the motorcycles and rammed into them head-on.
"Both motorcyclists died on the spot while the driver escaped the crash unharmed.
"The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of Road Transport Act 1987," he said when contacted today.
