KOTA BARU: Four booths selling various goods at the 24-hour Wakaf Che Yeh nightmarket here caught fire today, with losses estimated about RM250,000.
However, no casualties were reported in the 8.15am incident.
Darulnaim Fire and Rescue services chief Wan Mohd Shahrir Azizi Wan Said said seven firemen rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 8.20am.
He said the firemen took about 12 minutes to prevent the fire from spreading to other 12 nearby booths.
"The department managed to save about RM12million worth goods belonging to traders," he said.
Shahrir said cause in the fire is still under investigation.
