Abducted girl found safe and sound, Indonesian maid arrested

SUBANG JAYA: The 12-year old girl who went missing after allegedly being abducted by her maid was found safe before being reunited with her family.

She was rescued by a security guard of the Al-Rahman mosque in Jalan Pantai Baharu who took her to the police station.

The girl, who is known as Kyra looked dazed and confused as she was surrounded by reporters.

Subang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Azlin Sadari in a statement said the girl was found with the help of the Al-Rahman mosque congregation in Jalan Pantai Baharu, Kuala Lumpur.

"The suspect was detained," he said.

Earlier, police have launched a manhunt for an Indonesian maid who was believed to have abducted her employer’s daughter from their house in SS19, Subang Jaya.

It was reported the victim’s parents noticed that their daughter and woman were missing from their house at at about 5.30am yesterday.

He said the parents found the maid missing and suspected that the woman had taken the girl who was suffering from dyslexia.

The parents made a frantic search for the girl, known as Kyra, and the maid, before lodging the police report.

News of the kidnapping went viral when a relative of the family, whose Facebook profile identified her as Raja Mazurah Mikaish, posted pictures of the girl and maid on her timeline, saying the maid left a letter.

However, she did not reveal what message the contents of the letter.

A relative, who wanted to be identified only as Hazery, said Kyra’s parents did not know when the maid ran off with the girl as they only found out they were missing when they went to wake her up.
