KUALA LUMPUR: One of two suspects believed involved in the slashing of two policemen yesterday was arrested in Jalan Kuari, Cheras, here, yesterday.
Kuala Lumpur CID chief Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad said the suspect,39, was arrested at 9.30 am at a cemetery near the scene of the crime.
“The suspect has five criminal record involving drugs. We are hunting his accomplice, in his 40s, believed to be still in Cheras,” he said when contacted by Bernama here, today.
In the incident at 6 pm yesterday, the two policemen, Corporal Muztaza Nizan Minhaj and Constable Danny Sia Siaw Kian, were slashed while checking a suspected drug den.
The duo, from the Narcotics CID of the Cheras District Police Headquarters, sustained head injuries. --BERNAMA
